Engineering Degree Program in China - Fire Engineering

1. Introduction

Fire Engineering program is a comprehensive discipline involving different disciplines of natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, machinery, electronics, construction, information science, psychological science and physiological science and disciplines of social and human sciences, such as law, economics, philosophy, management science, education and disaster science.

2. Training Objectives

Fire engineering program trains senior engineering and technical personnel with knowledge and ability of fire engineering, fire fighting and rescue. These personnel can engage in work of technology and management of fire engineering and command of fire rescue in public security fire department and enterprises and institutions.

3. Training Requirements

The students mainly study basic theory and knowledge of fire engineering, civil engineering, safety management and management science; receive basic training in auditing of technical standards on fire control, supervision ,management and commanding with basic ability of supervising and management of fire fighting and ability of organization and command of fire rescue.

4. Knowledge and Ability

1) Master basic theories and knowledge of fire engineering, civil engineering, safety engineering and management;

2) Master skills of fire control technology, measures and technical supervision;

3) Has ability of supervision, management and fire rescue of fire engineering;

4) Be familiar with principles, policies and regulations of fire prevention, control and fire rescue;

5) Know application prospects of fire engineering;

6) Master basic methods of document retrieval and data query and has ability of scientific research and practical work.
