Human Embryology is a science that studies the occurrence, development process and its regulation before the birth of human body, including occurrence of reproductive cells, fertilization, the development process of the whole embryonic, the relationship between the embryo and the mother, the causes of congenital malformations, etc.. It takes about 38 weeks from formation of the fertilization to fetal disengagement, which can be divided into two stages: embryonic period and fetal period. 

The embryology belongs to the category of morphology. Therefore, special attention should be paid to observation in the study, including observation of embryonic specimens, model, slicing and maps. What’s more, image thinking should be started for observation by combination of description on the textbook.
