Medical laboratory science (MLS) is a science that provides information for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment of human diseases and evaluation of human health through examinations of microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, genetics, hematology, biophysics, cytology, etc. on materials from human body.

Through systematic study, students will learn how to identify a person's blood type, determine whether a person is anemic, whether a person’s liver function is normal and so on. This program requires the use of various photoelectric instruments and chemical reagents to complete experiment analysis, so it is science emphasized and requires good basis of biology and chemistry. 

Training Objectives

Medical laboratory science (MLS) is to cultivate senior medical professionals, equipped with basic theoretical knowledge and basic abilities in basic medicine, clinical medicine and medical laboratory, can be engaged in medical laboratory work in hospitals at all levels, blood bank and epidemic prevention departments.
