1.Introduction

Packaging Engineering program trains advanced engineers who have the ability to design and manage packaging system, and can be engaged in design, quality inspection, technical management and scientific research of packaging system in departments of commodity production and circulation, packaging enterprises, scientific research institutions, departments of international trade and commodity inspection, etc.

2. Knowledge and Ability

1). Students will master the basic theory of packaging engineering including engineering mechanics, materials science, biology, design aesthetics, etc.;

2). Students will master packaging technology, design methods of packaging structure,  and technology of packaging testing, packaging management;

3). Students will have the initial ability of packaging technology making, packaging materials and packaging equipment choosing;

4). Students will be familiar with the principles, policies and regulations of packaging;

5). Students will know about the development trends of packaging;

6). Students will master the basic methods of document retrieval and data query, with the ability to analyze and solve the technical problems of packaging engineering, research and develop new packaging materials, new structures, new manufacturing technology and new equipment.

Introduction of packaging engineering, packaging materials, packaging technology, structure design of packaging, packaging machinery, packaging test, packing transportation, packaging and printing, structure design and manufacturing of packaging container, packaging and decoration design, PS, 3D Max, polymer physics and chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, logistics engineering, engineering mechanics, theoretical mechanics, materials mechanics, electronic engineering, basis of mechanical design, etc.

Metalworking, computer application and operation, visiting practice, practice of packaging CAD, packaging structure practice, training, test technology experiment, curriculum design, production practice, graduation practice and graduation design
