Modern prosthetics and orthotics have developed towards the direction of biological informatization, intelligence, pneumatic (or hydraulic) of knee joint, computer controls artificial limbs, brain nerve controls the myoelectric artificial hand with external power, intelligent bionic artificial leg, CAD/CAM all have application in prosthetics and orthotics engineering.
