Sports Education Degree Program in China - Sports Engineering

Sports Engineering is a new program and develops rapidly in the last ten years. It is an organic combination of engineering and sports and its main research areas related to fluid mechanics, mechanical engineering, and computer applications. The scope of research involves the interdisciplinary fields in biology and biomechanics, mechanical engineering, computer application technology, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics, material engineering, detection and control technology, and robotics.

From the perspective of development of sports engineering, the main research fields include developing, designing and manufacturing sports equipments by combination of engineering technology and sports kinematics; include evaluating performance of sports equipment by combination of biomechanics and kinematics; include researching and optimization of equipment design and performance and manufacturing process and include new materials application in sports. These research areas involve almost all aspects of sports equipment.
