Vector Organisms refer to the organisms that transmit human diseases directly or indirectly, according to the classification of animals, usually refer to the two major categories, namely, the arthropod and rodents.

Diseases spread by vectors are called said vectors disease, including wholly or in part by vector borne diseases. Vectors diseases are also known as vector borne diseases habitually.
Vector organisms can not only spread dozens of human diseases, while also cause harassment, blood sucking, parasitic, sensitized, contaminated food, bring serious harm to the industry, agriculture, tourism, telecommunications, water conservancy, warehousing, cultural relics.
Transmission ways of vector biological diseases have two kinds: mechanical transmission and biological transmission. The former is the spread of intestinal infectious diseases such as flies, and the latter, such as mosquitoes, malaria and so on.
Common vectors: mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, rats, bugs, lice, fleas, ticks, mites, ants, and midges, blackflies and horseflies, sandflies
Important vector biological disease include plague, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, malaria, Japanese encephalitis, lymphatic filariasis, epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Lyme disease, dengue fever and dengue haemorrhagic fever, leptospirosis, tsutsugamushi disease, West Nile virus disease. In addition, the flies, cockroaches, ants and so on have important significance in the dissemination of intestinal infectious diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery.
