International students will have one year internship or rotation for learning MBBS program at Beihua University Faculty of Medicine after 5 years’ theory study. In order to get MBBS Degree and to be a qualified doctor in the future, internship is so important for medical students to practice their knowledge they got from medical classes.
Beihua University Faculty of Medicine offers a good environment of internship and clinical rotation for international students. There is one affiliated hospital of Beihua University containing over 738 beds for patients, four teaching hospitals and 41 practice bases for international student to internship and rotation. Students can have good practice and internships in these practicing places and receive enough exercises to be qualified as a doctor in the future.
Medicine learning needs to be practiced after 5 year’s study of basic medicine and clinical medicine; international students who apply for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery must finish 1 year internship under the instruction of a professor. They can choose internship in China or finish it when back to their home country.
After 1 year internship, international students will have a great improvement of practical skills, which greatly help them to be a qualified doctor in the future. After graduation and acquiring MBBS degree or other medical degrees, some international students may choose back home country or other country; they may apply for Medical Licensing Examination directly and become a doctor after passing the exam and finish registration according to the local regulations of the country.
