From 2004, Chongqing Jiaotong University began to enroll international students. Until now we have around 200 international students who come from more than 10 countries including US, Japan, Benin and Kazakhstan, etc.
Office of International Cooperation and Exchange is responsible for developing educational programs and extracurricular activities for international students. The office is in charge of the study and daily life of international students. The International School not only offers the master’s, doctoral and bachelor degree programs, but also provides long and short Chinese training programs, professional training courses, and many other specialized programs to meet the increasing demands of international education.
According to the laws, international students coming to China for study should use student's visa for entrance and use that visa to get residence permit within 30 days after entry. Before registered, students can apply for the “Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship ” or “President Scholarship for International Students”; Students who have being studied at Chongqing Jiaotong University can apply for the “Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarship”.
