Scholarships in Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, China for International Student
To encourage and financially support excellent international students to study at Fudan University Shanghai Medical College, the University has set up different types of scholarships for new international medical students. Applicants must meet specified requirements in order to apply for scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on the comprehensive evaluation of all merits in terms of academic performance, leadership competence and etc. International student office is in charge of receiving scholarship application, selection and daily management services.
Shanghai Government Scholarship
1. Eligibility
(1) Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens of good health.
(2) Applicants firstly have to apply and will be offered a study place at Fudan University in September of the application year.
(3) Applicants for doctorate studies should have obtained a master’s degree and be under the age of 40; applicants for master’s studies should have obtained a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
(4) Applicants should not be holding any other scholarship provided by Chinese government
2. Application Documents Requirement
(1) Application Form
(2) Personal Statement. The content should include application reason, family financial condition, education and work experience and personal award and strong points etc. At least 1500 words in English.
(3) Notarized scan copies of highest diploma and graduate certificate attached with English translations.
(4) Academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(5) A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (1,000 words or above)
(6) Recommendation letters: Applicants should submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors in the HEIs they graduated from.
