Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT)  was founded in 1958, and It was formed by the merger of Guangdong Institute of Technology, Guangdong Institute of Mechanics and South China Construction Institute (east courtyard) in June 1995. The school is located in Guangzhou, a famous city in the south of China and has a favorable geographical location. The campus covers a total area of 3,348 mu, with many campuses, such as university town, dongfenglu and longdong.

(1) History 
 
Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) was founded in 1958. In June 1995, Guangdong Institute of Technology and South China Construction Institute (dongyuan) merged to form Guangdong University of Technology. In 2008, the school became the third batch of universities in guangdong province and in May 2015, the school was selected as the construction unit of the u-100 project of the ministry of education. In August 2017, the school was selected for the national 111 plan.
 
(2) Discipline and programs
 
As of September 2017, the school operates 19 institute, a total of 84 undergraduate programs, further improved our technology, management, arts, economics, science, literature, law of seven disciplines of professional layout. There are 84 undergraduate majors in the university. Since 2014, all undergraduate majors have enrolled in the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in guangdong province. The four disciplines of machinery, information, materials and chemical engineering are the key construction disciplines of "project 211" in guangdong province.
