I. Implement of the Outstanding International Freshman Scholarship in HIT
The International Freshman Scholarship is divided into three sections, including undergraduate international freshman scholarship, post-graduate international freshman scholarship and exchange students scholarship. All applicants shall meet the qualification and do not acquire with other scholarship at the same time.
1.The conditions and method for the application of the scholarship
The applicants of the Undergraduate Freshman Scholarship should accord with at least one of the following conditions:
(1) High school academic record is outstanding; the high schools should be in the top 20%.
(2) The scores of domestic university entrance exam is excellent, the score is more than 70% of the total in paper.
(3) Participated in domestic and international various kinds of competition and won prizes.
(4) The style specialty certified by the professional high level organization.
The applicants of the Graduate Freshman Scholarship should accord with at least one of the following conditions:
(1) The scores of previous formal schooling stage are excellent.
(2) Published High level papers (SCI or EI) or participated in sequence meeting of this field.
(3) As the main participants in professional research award, and as the main project participants.
(4) The style specialty certified by the professional high level organization.
(5) Applicants who have outstanding performance or all kinds of honor for school are priority.
II. Implement of the “Outstanding International Students Scholarship in HIT”
In aim of further improvement the cultivation quality to the international students, and motivating them to achieve outstanding scores in both studies and scientific researches, the outstanding international students’ scholarship in HIT was founded. Outstanding International Students Scholarship in HIT is for the outstanding international students are studying at HIT. There are four types of this scholarship including Major award, Minor award, Third-class award and Fourth-class award.
Qingrui Scholarship
In order to encourage and attract more excellent International students to study at HIT, develop English-medium courses, Harbin Institute of Technology and Daqing Zhongyou Qingrui Petroleum Technology Co. Ltd. co-founded HIT-Qingrui Scholarship for International Students (hereinafter referred to as Qingrui Scholarship). Qingrui Scholarship is funded by Daqing Zhongyou Qingrui Petroleum Technology Co. Ltd., managed by International Student Center of HIT.
1. Eligibility
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.
(2). International Students who want to come to HIT to study English-medium bachelor or master degrees, Chinese-medium bachelor degrees with a strong academic background and research ability.
(3). the scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship.
