Nanjing University of TCM, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing Red Cross Hospital of TCM, established in 1956, is located near Qinhuai River of the famous Confucius Temple, is a combination of medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, rehabilitation, health care. And it was considered as three level of first-class comprehensive hospital with the advanced equipment, strong technology, and outstanding specialties.
Hospital covers an area of 19300 square meters, 44000 square meters of medical space, and has 700 beds, the annual number of outpatient reaches 730 thousand, and the number of discharged patients reaches 18 thousand. The hospital has set up complete clinical departments, with 37 clinical and medical technical departments.
At present, the hospital has three national key specialties of TCM: Anorectal Branch, gynecology, encephalopathy; two national key clinical specialties: oncology and cardiology; two national key training projects: Nursing and clinical pharmacy; two provincial key specialties: Orthopaedics and traumatology, and acupuncture and moxibustion; and many other specialties.
