Clinical internship and rotation are very important and necessary for international students studying MBBS program of Bachelor degree at Nankai University School of Medicine. After five years theory study, the last year for international students is clinical internship and rotation. After 1 year internship, practical skills of international students improve a lot and it is important foundation for being a doctor in the future. Foreign students need to pass an examination after 1 year rotation to get MBBS degree. The internship may cover some practice in the subjects or departments of hospitals in Community Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Toxicology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Respiratory Diseases, Blood Bank, Otorhinolaryngology(ENT), Dentistry.
Some foreign students may go back to their home country or to other country after graduation and acquiring MBBS degree or other medical degrees, they may apply for Medical Licensing Examination directly and become a doctor after passing the exam and finish registration according to the local regulations of the country.
