Qinzhou City is a prefecture-level city in Guangxi, China. Located on the South China Sea coast, the central position of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone (consisting of Nanning City, Beihai City, Qinzhou City and Fangchenggang City). Qinzhou City has 2 counties (Lingshan County, Pubei County) and 2 districts (Qinnan District, Qinbei District) under jurisdiction. Besides, Qinzhou Port Economic Development Zone and Qinzhou City management area have been set up.

The area originally belonged to Guangdong and was transferred to Guangxi in 1965. The city was originally a county Qinxian. Qinzhou was for many centuries "the center of Chinese overland trade with Indo-China".

Grain cultivation, hog husbandry, fruit growing and fishing are of significance in the surrounding areas of Qinzhou. Qinzhou is also one of the centers of turtle farming. Qinzhou develops Petrochemical Industry and has gained obvious advantage; the city is making great efforts to become a national petrochemical industry base and regional trading center of petrochemical products. The city also focuses on equipment manufacturing industry and modern service industry, the two industries have developed fast.

Qinzhou is located in the southern coast of Guangxi, north coast of the northern gulf, Qinzhou is the most convenient access to the sea in the Southwest. Qinzhou borders Nanning, capital of Guangxi Province to the north, Beihai and Yulin City to the east, Fangchenggang City to the west.

Qinzhou has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate, with short, mild winters, and long, hot and humid summers. Winter begins dry and rather sunny but becomes progressively wetter and cloudier. Spring is generally overcast and often rainy, while summer continues to be rainy though is the sunniest time of year; the coastal location moderates summer daytime temperatures, but there are 10.9 days annually with rainfall totaling at least 50 mm (1.97 in). Autumn is sunny and dry. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 13.6 °C (56.5 °F) in January to 28.4 °C (83.1 °F) in July, and the annual mean is 22.17 °C (71.9 °F). Annual rainfall is around 2,150 mm (85 in), the majority of which occurs from June to August. With monthly possible sunshine ranging from 17% in February to 55% in September, the city receives an average of 1,721 hours of bright sunshine annually.
