Shanghai Government Scholarships
Eligibility:
To be eligible, applicants must:
1) Be a non-Chinese citizen in good health.
2) Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.
3) Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
4) Be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for bachelor’s programs.
5) be excellent in academic and extra-curricular performance and yet not be rewarded any other scholarships offered by Chinese government, institutes or organizations.

(2) Personal Statement: it should contain application reasons, family financial condition, education background, academic and work performance, awards, personal specialties etc., with a minimum of 1500 words/characters in English/Chinese.
Foreign Self-funded Student Scholarship
The scholarship is for exceptional foreign students studying at Shanghai International Studies University. It aims to encourage foreign students to study diligently and promote their overall development. Distinguished Foreign Self-funded Student who are studying or enrolled and are going to study at Shanghai International Studies University for degree programs including Undergraduate, Master and Doctoral degree pursuers can apply for the scholarship.
