1. Discipline Scholarship
Discipline Scholarship Program for International Postgraduate Students was established in 2015 to encourage outstanding international students to pursue postgraduate study in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2. Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College Pre-Enrollment Scholarship
(1). Majors that are open for application for pre-enrollment scholarship:
Undergraduate Program of Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) (taught in English);
(2). Qualification for application of pre-enrollment scholarship:
Newly admitted overseas students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College, whose tuition fees are not covered by Chinese Government Scholarship or Shanghai government Scholarship.
(3). Materials required for application: Application Form. Scanned copies of various certificates
3. Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Overseas Students Program Scholarship
“Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Overseas Students Program Scholarship” is provided to candidates who are enrolled in five-year TCM (Acupuncture) bachelor degree program taught in English.
Eligibility
(1). The applicant must be a self-supported overseas student who will either be enrolled or is currently a student in the five-year TCM (Acupuncture) bachelor degree program taught in English.(from year one to year five).
(2). For the returning students in the degree program taught in English, the eligibility includes applicant’s good overall performance and active participation in various school activities in the past academic year.
(3). For the returning students in the degree program taught in English, the eligibility also includes the completion of 80% of the prescribed credits of compulsory courses of the past academic year (the transferred overseas students from another university, during the first year, should be regarded as a new student when his or her eligibility for this scholarship is being considered).
(4). This scholarship will not be offered to students who already obtained Chinese Government Scholarship (“Chinese Government Excellent Student Scholarship” is not included in “Chinese Government Scholarship”) and Shanghai Government Scholarship.
4. “Aspiration Grant” Scholarship for Overseas Students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College
“Aspiration Grant” Scholarship is set up to motivate full-time overseas undergraduate students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College with excellent performance.
(1). Eligibility
a. The applicant must be an individual with foreign nationality and in good state of health;
b. The applicant needs to be excellent in both character and academic performance;
c. The application needs to be filed by the undergraduate overseas students before entering the university. Applicant for this scholarship has to be under 30 years of age.
d. Students who already obtained Chinese Government Scholarship (“Chinese Government Excellent Student Scholarship is not included in “Chinese Government Scholarship“), Shanghai Government Scholarship, various pre-enrollment scholarships, “Grant for Living Cost” Scholarship of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College cannot be offered this scholarship simultaneously with aforementioned scholarships.
(2). Required Materials for Application
a. Application Form;
b. Scan copy of official proof of highest education of the applicant;
c. Scan copy of official transcript provided by the educational institute that the applicant graduated from;
d. A recommendation letter provided by the educational institute that the applicant graduated from;
e. An essay written by the applicant stating study plan in China;
f. All submitted materials need to be in either Chinese or English. Materials in other languages need to be translated into either Chinese or English and notarized by authority;
5. “Grant for Living Cost” Scholarship for Overseas Students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College
Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College provides “Grant for Living Cost” Scholarship for full-time overseas undergraduate students with excellent performance.
(1). Eligibility
a. The applicant must be an individual with foreign nationality and in good state of health;
b. The applicant needs to be excellent in both character and academic performance;
c. The application needs to be filed by the undergraduate overseas students before entering the university. Applicant for this scholarship has to be under 30 years of age;
d. Students who already obtained Chinese Government Scholarship (“Chinese Government Excellent Student Scholarship” is not included in “Chinese Government Scholarship”), Shanghai Government Scholarship, various pre-enrollment scholarships, “Aspiration Grant” Scholarship of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Education College cannot be offered this scholarship simultaneously with aforementioned scholarships;
e. This scholarship can be obtained simultaneously with “Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Overseas Students Program Scholarship”.
(2). Required Materials for Application
a. Application Form;
b. Scan copy of official proof of highest education of the applicant;
c. Scan copy of official transcript provided by the educational institute that the applicant graduated from;
d. Scan copy of a family financial condition statement;
e. An essay written by the applicant stating study plan in China;
f. All submitted materials need to be in either Chinese or English. Materials in other languages need to be translated into either Chinese or English and notarized by authority;
