Sichuan Agricultural University is located in Sichuan, in the western China. Founded in 1906, Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) is a comprehensive university under the National Project 211 in China. With a predominance of bio-technology and agricultural sciences, Sichuan Agricultural University has a multi-disciplinary development. 1. History
Sichuan Agricultural University was founded in 1906 as Sichuan Tong Sheng Agricultural School. It is the first public agricultural college in Sichuan Province. In 1935, it became a component of National Sichuan University. In 1956 it moved from Chengdu to Ya'an, where Sichuan Agricultural College was founded as an independent institution in 1956. In 1985 it was renamed as Sichuan Agricultural University.

Sichuan Agricultural University has three campuses, respectively located in Chengdu city, Ya'an city, and Dujiangyan city. Sichuan Agricultural University consists of 26 colleges, such as College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Landscape Architecture, College of Economics, College of Management, College of Animal Science & Technology and others. Sichuan Agricultural University has 7 Post-Doctoral Programs, 56 doctoral programs, 104 postgraduate programs, and 88 undergraduate majors. At present, there are over 40,000 students including 37000 undergraduate students and 4000 postgraduate students.

Scientific research achievements of Sichuan Agricultural University are outstanding, over 600 projects won national and provincial science and technology awards in the categories of Hybrid Rice，Triticeae Germplasm, Animal Nutritional Technology, poultry disease, such as 2 projects of the First Prize of National Awards for Technological Invention; 3 projects of the Second Prize of National Award for Technological Invention; 1 project of the Second Prize of National Awards for Natural Sciences and 16 projects of the Second Prize of National Awards for Progress in Science &Technology and others.
