For MBBS programs, the last year is for internship or rotation after 5 years’ theory study. Internship is of great importance to acquire MBBS degree.
In order to get Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery , international students must finish 1 year internship under the instruction of a professor after 5 year’s study of basic medicine and clinical medicine. They can choose internship in China or finish it when back to their home country. The one year's MBBS internship or rotation will cover some practice in the subjects or departments of hospitals in Community Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Toxicology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Respiratory Diseases, Blood Bank, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Dentistry.
Medical practical skills will be greatly improved after 1 year internship for international students, which lay the foundation for being a doctor in the future. To get MBBS degree, international students should pass an examination after 1 year rotation.
