Suzhou does not have its own airport. Students must travel to neighboring Wuxi’s airport, or Shanghai’s two airports. The university doesn't provide airport pickup service to foreign students.
Originally known as Wuxi International Airport, Sunan Shuofang International Airport is the closest airport to Suzhou. Recently, the airport has opened international routes to Tokyo, Osaka and Bangkok. International student can come to university by taxi, it is around 1 hour and around 135-200CNY (Chinese currency cash is required) from Sunan Shuofang International Airport to the campus.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport predominantly handles international flights. it is around 2-2.5 hours and around 500-600 CNY (Chinese currency cash is required) from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the campus by taxi.
Shanghai Hongqiao Airport now handles both international and domestic flights daily to Japan, South Korea, China’s Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, as well as many other cities in China. it is around 1-1.5 hours and around 350-400CNY from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to the campus by taxi.
