Shaan’xi Provincial Government Scholarship
Shaan’xi province has established “Shaan’xi Provincial Government Scholarship” (hereinafter referred to as “San Qin Scholarship”) to promote the development of higher education and accelerate the internationalization of local universities. Ranking the first among local universities, Xi’an Jiaotong University is ratified to offer San Qin scholarship to encourage and attract more outstanding international students to study in Shaan’xi.
1. Application Requirements:
(1). Applicants must be Xi’an Jiaotong University’s current full-time degree-working international students, possessing valid foreign passports and in a healthy condition.
(2). Applicants should have good behavior and grades, the score of every compulsory course of the applying year should be no less than 70 points.
(3). International students who are given or going to be given CSC scholarship and all the others kinds of scholarships (excluding hortative scholarships such as full-attendance and merit student scholarships, etc.) cannot enjoy this scholarship.
(4). Other requirement:
Bachelor’s degree applicants should possess a high school diploma, and under the age of 25 years old.
Master’s degree applicants should possess a bachelor diploma, two recommendation letters from professors/associate professors, and under the age of 30 years old.
Doctoral applicants should possess a master diploma, two recommendation letters from professors/associate professors, and under the age of 35 years old.

Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship for High-level International Students
Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship, offered by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), aims to financially assist excellent international students to study at XJTU for postgraduate degrees.
In 2016, the Scholarship mainly sponsors English-medium Master Programs, namely: Management Science, Master of Electrical Engineering, Master of Electronic and Information Engineering, Master of Power Engineering & Thermal Fluid Science, Master of Mechanical Engineering, and Master of Management in Energy, Master of Laws in Chinese and International Business Law, Master of Chinese Cultural Studies.
1. Eligibility
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports;
(2). Applicants must be in good health;
(3). Applicants for Master's Degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years of age;
(4). Applicants may not be in receipt of any other types of scholarship.
Xi’an Jiaotong University Undergraduate Freshmen Scholarship for International Students
In order to promote the influence of international education and nourishment of international undergraduate students, Xi’an Jiaotong University set “Undergraduate Freshmen Scholarship for International Students” to attract more outstanding international high school graduates to come to XJTU for bachelor study.
1． Supporting Categories:
Full-time international undergraduate freshmen
2. Application Requirements:
1) Under the age of 30, in good health condition;
2) Non-Chinese citizens with valid passport;
3) Have high school diploma with good grades;
4) Not be in receipt of any other types of scholarship.
3. Application Documents:
1) Application Form;
2) Notarized scan copy of senior high school graduation diploma (Student expecting to graduate should provide an official letter declaring expected graduation date), either in Chinese or English;
3) Notarized scan copies of high school academic transcripts, including courses taken and standard achieved;
4) Notarized scan copies of language proficiency certificate (applicants can choose one of following documents to submit):
a. Transcript of language test: scan copies of the IELTS band 5.5 and above transcript for English taught programs applicants.
b. Language proficiency certificate issued by graduated school;
5) Scan copy of your valid passport (passport type must be ordinary), and two recent passport size photographs;
6) In addition to the above materials, schools have the right to require the applicant to provide other necessary application materials.
