Yangtze Normal University contains 20 colleges and the Department of foreign language teaching and research, offering a total of 53 major fields of study, which cover subjects like Literature, Science, Law, Engineering, Economics, Management, Pedagogy and History. Those who major in Chinese language and literature, history, environmental chemistry, mathematics and applied mathematics, English language literature, life sciences, biotechnology, music, art and sports are qualified to become a member of our university. It has grown into a multi-discipline and multi-layer comprehensive university. Going global has also been a major feature for the competitive edge of the University. The College and the Chongqing Education Commission have established scholarships for foreign students in China, which provide insurance for overseas students and offer part-time jobs for them.
