Zhengzhou University School of Medicine now has 9 affiliated hospitals: the First Affiliated Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital, the Third Affiliated Hospital, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, the Fifth Affiliated Hospital, the Affiliated Tumor Hospital (Henan Tumor Hospital), Zhengzhou University People’s Hospital (Henan Provincial People’s Hospital), Zhengzhou Central Hospital and Henan Institute of Medical Science Hospital. These hospitals fulfill their functions and perform their duties in clinical treatment, teaching, research and courses of study.

 

The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University School of Medicine

 

The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University School of Medicine is the national largest class A tertiary comprehensive hospital of medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation with strong treatment ability, high level of scientific research and international exchange ability. The hospital has been honored as state-level "baby friendly hospital”, national" top 100 hospitals”, "advanced unit of national hospital management year", "national civilized unit”. The First Affiliated Hospital was founded in September of 1928, which was formerly the Henan University Hospital. In 1958, it moved from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou, renamed to be the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical College. In 1985, the hospital changed its name to the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical University. In 2000, the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou Industrial University, Henan Medical University merged and the hospital was officially named as the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. In 2012, the hospital officially became the hospital built by the province and ministry.
