Beijing Institute of Technology canteens are located in different campus, very popular canteens are located in Zhong Guancun Campus and in Liang Xiang Campus, students may prefer to pay cash or use student card, and all canteens provide very delicious food to international students.
1. Canteens in Zhong Guancun Campus
(i) At the North side of Campus
The 2nd Canteen: this is very famous canteen with several delicious dishes, this canteen works from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm every day.
The 1st canteen/ Teachers canteen: this canteen is open both for students and teachers. For students it works in the morning hours and evening hours. It opens only for teachers at noon.
The 3rd Canteen: this is most used for breakfast but the students can get food in this canteen during the day time
Muslim Canteen: Used by all students but especially for Muslim, the canteen does not allow students to bring food from other places.
Jinggong Local Cuisine Canteen: Provide food service for students during day time.
Yan Garden Restaurant: provide delicious food for students
Ligong Restaurant: Is located in East side of Yuazhi Building, open from 10:00 am to 10:30 pm
(ii) South Side of the Campus
The new canteen: This is the biggest canteen in BIT
The 7th canteen: is located at the south side of the new canteen
Jin Bang Yuan Restaurant: works from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, this canteen has a good place for the students who want to have dinner together.
2. Canteen in Liang Xiang Campus
There are north canteen, south canteen and Muslim canteen in Liang Xiang campus. Each canteen has 3 floors in both north and south.
The first and second floor in north and south canteen are school-run dining halls. The price is moderate. The dish amount is large. It’s quite economical and practical. The third floor of north canteen is a gathering place of local delicacies. There are barrel rice, rice noodles, spicy pot and countless delicacies. It’s a nice choice for dining.
The third floor of north canteen is private business, so the price is a little higher than the first and second floor. It will be five Yuan more expensive on average each meal. The third floor of south canteen provides ordering service. It’s just like a small restaurant. It’s a good place for class gathering and celebrating birthday.
Opening hours of canteen 6: 30 am - 8: 30 am
11: 00 am - 1: 00 pm
4: 30 pm - 6: 30 pm
Midnight snacks are provided before 10: 30 pm at the first floor of north canteen, south canteen and Muslim canteen.
