Admission at South China University of Technology for International Education

 

SCUT admits foreign students in 5 specialties taught in English: International Economics and Trade, Computer Science and Technology, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering

 

1. Qualification for applicant 

 

1. High school transcripts and diploma with good standard.

2. Applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit a TOEFL score of 68/190/520 or IELTS 5.5, or pass SCUT’s placement test.

3. Duration and tuition Fees: 

 

All undergraduate programs at South China University of Technology take 4 years.  

Tuition fees are 26,000CNY/YEAR for the students admitted in all the majors.

SCUT masters program has different options taught in English including MBA, and Electrical and Computer Engineering

 

1. Qualification for applicant 

 

1. Bachelor’s degree holder with the ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.

2. Applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit a TOEFL IBT 80/CBT 210/PBT 550 or above; IELTS 6.0 or above.

3. Study Duration &Tuition Fee:

 

Masters degree takes 2 years in all programs

A tuition fee is 44,500 CNY/YEAR for students in MBA and 32,000 CNY/YEAR for students in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Doctorate program at SCUT admit international students in English taught courses which lead to doctorate degree including Control Theory and Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, Detection Technology and Automatic Equipment, Pulp and Paper Engineering, Sugar Engineering, Amylum Resource Science and Engineering, Food Science, Cereals, Oil and Vegetable Protein Engineering, Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products, Food Quality and Safety, Biomass Science and Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering

 

1. Applicant Qualification

 

1. The TOEFL IBT score of 80 points at least, or IELTS score at least 6.0, or SCUT’s English Placement Test 60 points or above.

2. Possess Master degree above and previous major should be related to your apply major.

3. Provide Master Diploma notarized scan copies and the score report’s transcripts or notarized scan copies of master courses. When the diploma is neither Chinese nor English, you should provide notarized Chinese or English translated document.

4. Provide research and study plan in China (1500 words at least), written in Chinese or English.

5. Provide recommendation letters by two professionals with the title of professors or associate professors.
