In July 2011, approved by the Fujian Provincial Department of Education, Wuyi University began to recruit overseas students. In May 2012, Wuyi University established an overseas education institute. In September 2012, Wuyi University became the first batch of Fujian Pprovincial Government Scholarship recipients to China. In April 2013, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the university became the fifth Chinese government scholarship recipient institution in Fujian. As of 2017, a total of United States, France, Canada, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, Zambia, Garner, Kenya, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Laos, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Benin, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Tajikistan were recruited. Liberia, Moldova, Moldova, Sultan, Turkmenistan, Brazil, South Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia and other countries of Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Europe and other countries have entered the Overseas Education Institute of Wuyi University for long-term or short-term language learning or academic study.
