Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship
1. Categories of Applicants
International students who apply to study or are studying in Zhejiang Province pursuing a bachelor degree, a master degree, a doctoral degree, or as a long-term general scholar.
2. Categories of Scholarship
a. Class A Scholarship:
The Class A Scholarship sponsors 40 students. The Class A Scholarship sponsors excellent international students pursuing a master’s degree or above in Zhejiang Province.
b. Class B Scholarship:
The Class B Scholarship sponsors 160 students. The Class B Scholarship sponsors excellent international students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Zhejiang Province.
c. Class C Scholarship:
The Class C Scholarship sponsors 100 students. The Class C Scholarship sponsors excellent international students who are studying in Zhejiang Province for a long term.
3. Criteria and Eligibility
(1). Basic Requirements:
a. Applicant for bachelor’s degree program or for two/three-year college degree should have obtained senior high school diploma or equivalent education, and be under the age of 30;
b. Applicant for master’s degree program should have obtained the bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, get recommendation letters from 2 professors/assistant professors and be under the age of 35;
c. Applicant for doctoral degree program should have obtained the master’s degree or equivalent education, get recommendation letters from 2 professors/associate professors and be under the age of 40.
(2). Other Requirements:
a. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health;
b. Applicants should comply with the laws and regulations in China, and comply with the rules and disciplines in the host university;
c. Applicants should have a good academic record which is among top of the class;
d. Applicants should NOT be awarded with other Chinese Government Scholarships of all levels.

Scholarship for Outstanding New Postgraduate Students of ZUST
1. Applicants of Outstanding New Students Scholarship
Applicants should be newly enrolled international postgraduate students who want to study at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. Applicants should be in healthy condition.
2. Qualification of Outstanding New Postgraduate Students Scholarship
a. Excellent study records;
b. An applicant applying for an English language taught master degree program should provide their transcripts of the English language during their undergraduate studies. They are also required to pass the phone interview conducted by ZUST.
3. Application Materials
a. Application Form;
b. Scan copy of the ID page of the applicant’s valid passport
c. Scan copy of notified certificates the applicant’s undergraduate education records. Graduating university students shall provide their certificate of enrollment in lieu of their undergraduate diplomas. If the applicant is currently studying in China, they shall provide the approval letter upon their transfer or their study completion certificate issued by the universities (The submitted documents should include their attendance records and their academic performance). Materials in languages other than Chinese and English should be accompanied by their notified corresponding Chinese or English version.
d. Scan copy of notified transcripts. Materials in languages other than Chinese and English should be accompanied by their notified corresponding Chinese or English version.
e. Scan copy of two recommendation letters, written in Chinese or English.
f. Scan copy of verified and valid health certificate.
g. Scan copy of transcripts of the applicant’s English language examination during their undergraduate study (lowest requirement: Merit or the equivalent in other marking systems; only for applicants of English taught master degree programs).

Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST
1. Applicants of Outstanding New Students Scholarship
Applicants should be International students who want to study at ZUST. Applicants should be healthy.
2. Qualification of Outstanding New Students Scholarship
a. Scan copy of Excellent study records (the applicants should provide certificates and transcripts for proof of the highest education finished)
b. An applicant applying for an English language taught master or bachelor degree program should have one of the following certificates: IELTS, TOEFL, GRE or PET. Applicants who don’t have these certificates need to pass the English Level Test organized by ZUST

b. Scan copy of official proof of highest education records. If the applicants are currently enrolled in a university or school, a proof of student status issued by the university/school is needed. Non-Chinese or Non-English materials should be attached to their corresponding Chinese or English version
c. Scan copy of official transcripts
d. Recommendation letter from the school attended by the applicants, written in Chinese or English.
e. Scan copy of health certificate
f. Scan copy of a test certificate from one of the following tests is required: IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL 80 or above, GRE 1400 or above, PET-3 or above. Applicants who don’t have these certificates need to pass the English Level Test organized by ZUST and get the score required for admission.
Scholarship for Outstanding Undergraduate/Postgraduate of ZUST
1. Applicants of Outstanding Undergraduate/Postgraduate Scholarship
This scholarship aims to encourage diligent and hardworking international students pursuing a bachelor/master degree at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology.
2. Qualification of Outstanding Undergraduate/Postgraduate Scholarship
a. Officially registered self-funded international undergraduates of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology who have not applied for suspending schooling, have not lost student status nor have delayed graduation;
b. The applicant should have the right attitude towards study, be diligent and have received good marks during the previous academic year;
c. The applicant should actively participate in the social service activities and other social activities organized by the university or the international college;
d. The applicant should abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese Government and the rules and regulations of the university. The applicant must not have been given any form of punishment above and including a warning.
3. Application Materials:

b. Scan copy of transcripts from the previous academic year;
c. Scan copy of reference letter from the class adviser and the department.
Specialized Scholarships of ZUST
1. Applicants of the Specialized Scholarships
The Specialized Scholarships aim to reward students with outstanding achievements in the areas of academics, sports, arts, cultural exchange and social activities.
2. Types of the Specialized Scholarships
There are also a variety of specialized scholarships, such as the Scholarship for Diligent Study, Scholarship for Social Service, Scholarship for Arts and Sports Activities Excellence, Scholarship for Arts and Sports Activities Participation, and Scholarship for Potential Talent.
3. Qualifications of the Specialized Scholarships
a. Scholarship for Social Service: the applicant should have good character and be actively involved in social services. The applicant should hold a key post in students associations, have outstanding performance in social service and creating harmonious campus and be recognized by the university.
b. Scholarship for Arts and Sports Activities Excellence: the applicant is required to have won prizes in arts and sports contests at national, provincial, or university level.
c. Scholarship for Arts and Sports Activities Participation: the applicant should actively participate in arts and sports contests at the national, provincial, or university level.
d. Scholarship for Potential Talent: applicants should have improved by more than 25 points (including 25 points) in their final term evaluation compared with the previous term, or have made outstanding performance in a given field.
